Anthony Bickley, Osteopath and Homoeopath

Anthony is a registered osteopath and homoeopath. He has been practicing Osteopathy for 31 years and homoeopathy for 29 years, and has been working with patients in Yeovil for 27 years. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Society of Homoeopaths and planned and implemented the first international conference on homoeopathy in UK in 1982. He has taught homoeopathy and osteopathy at seminars in USA, Denmark and Ireland, and here in England he currently teaches homoeopathy at the British School of Homoeopathy.

As an osteopath Anthony treats a variety of common conditions including changes to posture in pregnancy; repetitive strain injury, postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis and sports injuries as well as the proverbial ‘ bad back’ from lifting or overstretching. He uses traditional methods of muscle work, massage, passive postural movements and stretching as well as conventional manipulative techniques and manual and exercise physiotherapy methods to deal with ongoing sports and trauma problems.

As a homoeopath, he focuses on each individual, concentrating on treating their specific physical, general and emotional symptoms, to give long lasting improvement. Many of Anthony’s patients come with long standing chronic conditions for which they have had little relief by other methods and he works with them to make steady improvements using homoeopathic remedies that are very diluted natural substances that - if given in stronger doses to a healthy person, could produce the symptoms the remedy is prescribed for. Anthony is happy to work with his medical colleagues in both therapies.
