Community Acupuncture Clinic

Nine Springs Natural Health Centre is pleased to announce the opening of a new Community Acupuncture Clinic, providing quality treatment at a lower cost. The new Clinic is the mastermind of Nine Springs Directors Jane Robinson and Lesley Jenkins - both highly trained acupuncturists with 30 years of experience.  They feel that the Clinic will make acupuncture affordable and available to a wider community in and around Yeovil.

Acupuncture has been shown to be highly effective in treating many health disorders, but until now has only been available to those who can afford the costs of one-to-one consultations. Acupuncture can be beneficial in a wide range of illnesses and symptoms – from circulatory problems to neurological problems, headaches and back pain to general feelings of ill health or low energy.

We will be using a large room with four treatment couches, screened off from each other. This means that both of us are able to move from one patient to another without leaving anyone unattended. Initial consultations will be held in a separate private room in order to maintain confidentiality.

Jane Robinson spent some time working in a hospital in Nanjing, China in 2004, where patients came in for acupuncture about 3 times per week.  She returned home feeling frustrated that in the UK we cannot ask people to come in as often as they need to because of the prohibitive cost, and was determined to find a way to provide acupuncture treatment in a similar way to the Chinese system of healthcare.  Treating more often is better for more acute conditions such as back problems, sports injuries, after strokes, helping with IVF treatment or pregnancy sickness.

The Community Acupuncture Clinic will be available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Costs will be £40 for the initial consultation and £20 for each subsequent treatment.
