Mealnie Ward-Ablitt, Shiatsu

Melanie Ward-Ablitt ShiatsuMelanie Ward-Ablitt is a qualified Shiatsu practitioner, and a member of the Shiatsu Society (UK), and as such is bound by their Codes of Conduct and Ethics. She completed the 3 year practitioner training and gained her Diploma with the Bristol School of Shiatsu, one of the longest established Shiatsu schools in the UK. She was a professional artist exhibiting her own work and leading workshops for children and adults before retraining as a Shiatsu practitioner. She moved to the area, from Bristol, in 2006.

“I realised I wanted to train in Shiatsu after seeing how I had benefited from it myself. I was given a Shiatsu gift voucher for Christmas one year and liked it so much I ended up having Shiatsu every 2 weeks for a year and a half.”

“Receiving and giving Shiatsu continues to be an amazing journey, for which I feel hugely grateful. Clients come to me with a range of problems, and shiatsu works on all levels; however I have a special interest in working with stress and tension, and emotional issues.

“I work intuitively and compassionately with the aim of empowering my clients to move towards whatever health means to them. I am committed to my ongoing professional and personal development. I regularly receive Shiatsu myself and the power and beauty of this wonderful therapy continues to amaze me!”

"Melanie gives a deep, spacious and emotionally penetrating Shiatsu that finds strength in its gentleness and potency in its decisiveness. The receiver feels deeply heard, acknowledged and affirmed by Melanie's touch...a powerful Shiatsu which is clear in its commitment and integrity." Paul McNicholls, MRSS T
